Senior Services Programs and Activities The City of Irvine's Senior Services offers a broad variety of programs and services through the Lakeview and Rancho Senior Centers. All classes are taught by College-level instructors, professionals, specialists and volunteers. Programs and activities include arts, crafts, physical fitness, health and education presentations, games, personal enrichment, dance, music, and movies.

Senior Services Donor Opportunities Irvine Senior Services has formed unique and beneficial collaborations between businesses, non-profit organizations, volunteers and community groups. Our goal is to maintain the ongoing educational, physical, emotional and social health of the older adult population.

Transportation - TRIPS Program In addition to regular public transportation, the Community Services TRIPS Program is the City's low cost, door-to-door transportation for Irvine residents (18+) who are unable to drive due to a permanent physical and/or cognitive disability. Registration and Eligibility Determination Required. The program currently has a registration processing period of up to 2 weeks for services that include: medical appointments, work, school, social, etc. Call for the availability of grocery shopping and senior center Shuttle Services. Vehicles are wheelchair accessible. For more information on services, contact the TRIPS office Monday-Friday from 8a.m.-2p.m. at 949-724-7433.
Health Insurance Programs Medicare and HMO Consultations are available at the Lakeview Senior Center through Health Insurance Counseling and Advocacy (HICAP).

Medicare and Medicaid are joint federal and state programs that help to provide medical care for eligible senior, disabled, or needful citizens. Medical assistance eligibility is based mainly on eligibility for Social Security. These programs help pay charges for hospitalization, stays in skilled nursing facilities, physicians' charges, and some associated health costs. Social Security Administration The U.S. Social Security Administration provides financial assistance such as welfare and unemployment benefits as well as other services to seniors, disabled citizens, and low income residents across the country. Social Services Agency
The Orange County Social Services Agency (SSA) operates under the policy direction of the Orange County Board of Supervisors and the California Departments of Social Services and Health Services.
