 | Irvine Police Department | Thank you and welcome to the Irvine Police Department’s website. This website is one of the many ways that the Irvine Police Department strives to communicate with our community members. It is my hope that our website can help provide you with information on current crime trends and helpful insights into the Irvine Police Department. The Irvine Police Department is a professional, values-based organization where community oriented policing is a way of life. Community policing is the foundation that the police department has built upon since it began in 1975. On May 24, 2003, the Irvine Police Department implemented geographic policing in an effort to develop greater ownership and a higher level of commitment between our officers and our community members. I hope you will enjoy touring our website and benefit from the information that has been compiled about crime and our prevention efforts in our City. David L. This year the students competing for the bronze boot were from University High School, Woodbridge High School, Irvine High School, Irvine Girls Lacrosse and Sierra Vista Middle School.
