IRVINE, CA (September 5, 2012):  On Sunday, September 9, 2012, the Irvine Police Department will host the first Annual 9/11 Tournament of Heroes Charity Softball Event at Bill Barber Park in Irvine. Partnering with the Orange County Fire Authority, military personnel from Camp Pendleton, and Team Kids, the event will honor our military heroes and wounded warriors.

This event will also support the Team Kids mission to inspire young people to become responsible citizens with a passion for community service. Features for kids include: 9-11 themed service projects, food concessions, game and information booths and prize raffles. In addition, the City of Irvine’s Mobile Recreation truck will be there with games and activities for kids.
