IRVINE, CA (September 5, 2012):  On Tuesday, September 5, 2012, Irvine Police detectives arrested Chiropractor, Dennis Scott Durbin (7-11-47), at his Irvine office (Sky Park Chiropractic) for two felony assault charges after a patient reported being touched in an inappropriate and sexual manner during a therapeutic massage.

The victim, a 28-year-old, Orange County woman, first went to the office over a year ago for relief from neck pain.  During a subsequent visit in July of 2012 Durbin offered adding massage to her treatment program. While receiving a massage treatment on her third visit, Durbin inappropriately touched and assaulted the victim.

Durbin shares office space with an unrelated Chiropractic business at the location on alternating days.

Durbin was booked into the Orange County Jail on charges of sexual battery and penetration with a foreign object where he is being held in lieu of $100,000 bail. Detectives believe Durbin may have convinced other victims to submit to similar massage treatments that may also have evolved into criminal conduct.

Anyone with information regarding this case or who may have been a victim should contact Detective Victoria Hurtado vhurtado@cityofirvine.org - or - (949)724-7194.
