Utility installations

Northbound and southbound Sand Canyon at Burt Road

Monday, November 3 through Friday, November 28, 2014

Pump Station Construction

Sand Canyon between Burt Road and Oak Canyon Road / Laguna Canyon Road

Monday, November 3 through Friday, November 28, 2014
Construction work will occur weekdays between 7 am and 3:30 pm. Construction crews will intermittently stop motorists on weekdays between 9 am and 3 pm to allow construction trucks to enter and exit the site. Please note that roadway excavation for retaining wall has been completed.

Electrical Work

Southbound Sand Canyon off-ramp and Oak Canyon Road

Monday, November 3 through Friday, November 28, 2014
Street light and traffic signal work will occur between Interstate 5 southbound Sand Canyon off-ramp and Oak Canyon Road. Work will occur weekdays during daytime; however, some night work may be required. Please note that signs will be posted to provide direction and information.

The speed limit on Sand Canyon has been reduced to 35 mph between Laguna Canyon Road and Marine Way for the duration of the project for the safety of the contractor’s personnel and the motoring public.

The Walnut Bike Trail will be closed for the duration of the project.  Detour signs are located at each end of the bike trail to direct pedestrians and bicyclists to use alternate routes. The Walnut Bike Trail will reopen upon completion of the project, which is anticipated in early 2015.
